For immediate release.
The is a small community located in British Columbia and is a popular destination for tourists during the summer months. Harrison Hot Springs and the surrounding area offer an array of seasonal activities and sandy beaches that hug the coast of Harrison Lake – the largest body of fresh water in southwestern B.C.
Since 2016, The Village of Harrison Hot Springs has been a valued partner of Precise ParkLink, choosing to rely on our parking technology solutions to manage and control parking during their busy summer season. Before having Precise ParkLink regulate their parking, the village faced a series of challenges during their high seasonal visitation months. Because of this, the village launched a pilot project, led by Precise ParkLink, with hopes that a seasonal on-street parking solution would be a success within the community.
The limited beachside parking available to residents and tourists and the numerous outdoor activities and heritage sites make the village an ideal candidate for a paid parking program during the summer season. To date, Harrison Hot Springs enforces paid parking only during its peak season and has since furthered its partnership with Precise ParkLink. In May 2021, the village decided to upgrade their parking technology from Pay-and-Display to Pay-by-License-Plate parking meters, as well as offer ʲ徱’s mobile payment capabilities, making it easier for the tourist hot spot to manage parking availability and capture incremental seasonal revenue.
Justin Powell, Director of Western Canada at Precise ParkLink, explains that “For over five years, Precise ParkLink has worked alongside Harrison Hot Springs to develop a parking program that has allowed the village to capitalize on seasonal revenue and alleviate parking congestion. To date, this program has been successful in meeting the needs of residents and visitors during peak seasons.”
Precise ParkLink is committed to supporting the Village of Harrison Hot Spring’s seasonal parking operations. We look forward to continuing to meet and exceed the needs of Harrison Hot Springs, its residents and visitors for many years to come.
